Dear all,

Our May coffee morning is next week already and our hostess on Thursday will be Sylvie.

There will be great shopping opportunities again as les Art’isan will have their latest products displayed for sale in Sylvie’s house.

Kori will also start to collect and sell second hand books and DVD’s so that we can raise more funds for the monthly Food Delivery in partnerships with the Banchang Hospital. If you have any pre-loved/unwanted books or DVD’s you are willing to donate, please bring them.

Both your donation and your purchase will help to support a great charity!

On a sad note, Barbara, our welcome coordinator, will be leaving soon and she will be looking for someone to replace her. Talk to her if you think you might be interested…

Dear all,

Hope you all had a great Songkran holiday!

Our April Coffee Morning will be on Thursday 26 at Sopa’s house from 10 am.

Sopa arrived recently in Thailand and lives half-way between Banchang and Pattaya at Phoenix Lakeside, House 45/5, (road parallel to Silverlake). I, Christine will leave from Hamlet 1 at 9.30 am if any Banchang ladies are interested to follow…

There will be a German lady coming from Bangkok with a great selection of beautiful handmade leather bags (many sizes and colours) so bring some cash if you are interested.

Please bring a dish or plate of fruit to share.

22, 23/Mar – Inter-School Science Fair at St Andrews International School Green Valley

St Andrews International School, Green Valley Rayong Campus is hosting a Science Fair, which we hope will become an annual inter-school event.

This will be a 2 day event held this year on the 22nd and 23rd of March, hosted at the St Andrews International School, Green Valley Rayong campus with International School of the Regents, Garden International School and The International School of the Eastern Seaboard also participating.

The generous sponsorship by Caterpillar, Kao Kong Petroleum, Marriott Resort and Spa Rayong, PTT Global Chemical, Silamas Transportation, Sodexo and St Andrews International Schools Group have provided the fantastic prizes for each year group catergory open to groups and individuals.

Science and Technology is something that everyone in today’s society uses whether they realize it or not. It is something that our youth take for granted and use with ease. It is something that is always changing when individuals see a need, or a way, to improve what is already in place.

The aim of our fair is to celebrate the field of science, to get all students to think about it, to investigate it, to test old ideas and to think of new ones. Who knows, they may solve something we have always wondered about!

The St Andrews International School, Green Valley, Science Fair is to be one where individual students, or a small group of students, undertake an investigation or study related to science. This could be in the area of physics, chemistry, biology, geology.It is not intended to be a research project but should involve the scientific method.

Schools will compete with 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes for each year breakdown sponsored by these well known companies in the community.

The general public are welcome to attend this community event , as of course are all teachers , students and parents of students from participating schools.

We hope to see the Eastern Seaboard community at this event supporting our childrens endeavors!

There is a power-cut planned for next Thursday in Kate’s street making it inconvenient to have out get-together there.
Therefore we moved the location to Kori’s place.
